Hola 5G Oulu
The project
The project mission is to revolutionise patient care by leveraging advanced 5G technology, creating a secure and efficient healthcare environment.
Establish the private 5G network and develop wireless wearable technologies in selected areas of Oulu University Hospital. Rigorously test network and wearable usability to ensure streamlined workflows and ensuring smooth integration into the hospital environment.
Expand the network to cover the entire hospital, enhancing patient care and operational efficiency, and serve as a model for other hospitals globally. Act as a technological hub for researching and turning futuristic innovation into reality and transform healthcare operations.
PARTNERS
Project phases
A private 5G network for Oulu University Hospital will guarantee uninterrupted medical services and create a secure foundation for future wireless healthcare innovations. The project is divided into four phases.
PROJECT INITIATION & PLANNING
PHASE 1
This foundational phase involves defining project scope, establishing partnerships, securing funding, and thoroughly planning of resources and timelines. The consortium collaborates closely to reach a shared understanding of project goals and expectations.
NETWORK & SOFTWARE BUILDING
PHASE 2
The core infrastructure takes shape during this phase. Boldyn Networks will spearhead the design and deployment of the private 5G network, while WICOAR Technologies develops and refines the wireless wearable solutions. Rigorous testing and optimization ensure seamless integration and performance.
EXECUTING
PHASE 3
This is where the project comes to life. The 5G network goes live at Oulu University Hospital, and the wearable technologies are implemented in real-world healthcare scenarios. Comprehensive testing further enhances refinements and optimizations.
COMPLETING & TRANSITIONING
PHASE 4
The project reaches its closing phase, transitioning from development to active use. The focus shifts to evaluating the project’s impact, ensuring long-term sustainability, and knowledge transfer to the hospital staff.
